Matlab

MATLAB is an integrated technical computing environment designed for engineering and science that combines numeric computation, advanced graphics and visualization, and an intuitive programming language.
 
Cornell has a site license which permits you to load Matlab on your own workstation (Mac OS, Windows, Linux, and Unix) at a substantial discount from the normal price. See CIT's Software Information Directory for details.

General Notes for Running Matlab at CTC
  • Interactive access to Matlab at the CTC is only available in the collaboratory and on the login machines. 
    The Matlab installation sets the default working directory in Matlab to the machine's C: drive. Change this to a subdirectory in your home directory on the H: drive.
  • Matlab can be run on the batch compute machines only by using the Matlab Runtime Libraries.  For details, see http://www.tc.cornell.edu/SoftwarePages/matlab_runtimes.  This also applies to users who are running the Cornell Multitask Toolbox for MATLABŪ (CMTM).
