CTC: SSH Installation

To install SSHWinClient.exe, in most cases it is not necessary to download it from H:\CTC Tools. In CTC Tools, double click on SSHWinClient.exe. This will launch an installation wizard. Be patient; it may take several minutes to start.

Note: Users with home directories on the U:\ drive (CISER file server) should first download the .exe file to their local machine. Then install SSH by double-clicking on the local copy of SSHWinClient.exe instead of using the icon in H:\CTC Tools\.

On a Windows 2000 machine you will see the following set up screens. Typical responses are indicated.

Welcome to the SSH Secure Shell setup wizard. Click Next.
License agreement. Click Yes.
Choose Destination Location. The default is C:\Program Files\SSH Communications Security\SSH Secure Shell. Click Next.
Select Program Folder. Click Next.
Select Components.(All 4 checked). Click Next.
InstallShield Wizard Complete. Click Finish.

When the installation has completed, you will have 2 icons on your desktop, SSH Secure Shell Client
and SSH Secure File Transfer Client.
