Cornell researchers are welcome to submit proposals requesting Theory Center computer resources at any time. The current policy provides time at no dollar cost to Cornell researchers for academic work. Applicants who are undergraduate or graduate students must have their requests submitted by a faculty advisor. Exploratory accounts of 100 hours are available by filling out a simplified application, which does not require intervention by a faculty advisor.
After an allocation has been awarded, the Principal Investigator (PI) should request a userid for each person in the group. At your first login, you will be prompted to change your password. Please refer to the Passwords document for details on admissible passwords.
Windows Users: After you have changed your password, on a login node issue the vsched -pa command, which will register your password with the batch system. Otherwise Windows batch jobs will not run properly.
