CCS provides efficient use and fair sharing of resources. All users are treated alike by the scheduling algorithm. Potential abuse of the open nature of the system is tempered by the job limits policy.
Jobs are subject to the Computing Usage Policy .
For the general access queues, the policy specifies :
- Maximum number of node-wall-clock hours for all jobs in a given queue belonging to a single user
- Time limit for any single job
Goals:
- Encourage parallel use of Velocity
- Meet the needs of a diverse community.
Therefore, we will continue to evaluate our policy and to make adjustments as our experience warrants.
