All Science Fair Projects - Science Fair Projects with Complete Instructions - over 500 fully searchable and well categorized science fair project ideas, with full instructions and explanations. Currently, over 150,000 students across the USA and Canada are using this free educational resource to search for science fair project ideas. The Annenberg/CPB Math and Science Project - This organization has funded more than 40 projects to improve K-12 math and science education. These projects educate and support the key groups of adults that have a hand in changing the way math and science are taught, including parents, teachers, teacher educators, administrators, and policymakers. Some of the projects at the web site are: Annenberg/CPB Channel - A satellite television service and companion web site for teachers, schools, and communities. Programming features the Project's extensive math and science educational media. ENC Mathematics and Science Education - The Eisenhower National Clearinghouse (ENC) provides K-12 teachers with a central source of information on mathematics and science curriculum materials and encourages the adoption and use of such materials in order to support national goals to improve teaching and learning in mathematics and science. Environmental Inquiry Project - Environmental Inquiry is a secondary school curriculum development project at Cornell University, dedicated to the creation, evaluation, and distribution of environmental science materials. The subject-matter includes environmental toxicology, bioremediation and waste management, and watershed studies. Fun Science Gallery - Their objectives are to facilitate science education and to turn science into a fun activity rather than a boring one and to help teachers with practical science projects. Mostly physical science activities that are well presented. The Hub - An excellent resource for mathematics and science education. From TERC and the Regional Alliance for Mathematics and Science Education Reform. The Library of Congress - This one speaks for itself! M&M Software - A large collection of shareware/freeware software for education. Southeast Michigan Math & Science Learning Coalition - A large site with lots of math and science lessons and activities. Also has college planning and career information a nice broad site. New Jersey Networking Infrastructure in Education (NJNIE) Curriculum Page - Several curriculum modules, most related to earth science, plus many excellent links. Science & The City - This site includes more than 800 daily listings on events, lectures and activities related to science. Although it's main emphasis is on events in NYC, it also lists conferences taking place nationwide as well as U.S. TV and radio programs in science. Frank Potter's Science Gems - this is a huge collection of science and mathematics resources sorted by category and grade level. Woodrow Wilson Leadership Program for Teachers HotMath - Hotmath.com is a tutorial site that provides students with complete solutions to the problems in their math textbooks. There are no ads on the site and it covers Algebra I to Calculus. The Virtual Library List - This page includes a few schools, some of which were not on any of the other lists. The WWW Virtual Library is a database of web documents, sorted by topic. Learning Math: Geometry - A video and Web based course for elementary and middle school teachers, introduces geometric reasoning as a method for problem-solving. General Resources for Educators (Science and Other Subjects) American Studies Web - An extensive guide to American Studies resources on the Internet, from David Phillips at Yale University. Books A to Z - This site is intended to be a working tool to enable anyone to produce, distribute or find books. The Educator's Toolkit - Hundreds of links to resources for teachers, parents, and inquisitive kids. There are plenty of places to browse, and a rating system from "younger elementary" - "high school" - "all" to help users easily find their way. Education World - A searchable database of over 50,000 education-related URL's. Search by keyword, or browse through their listings by topic. MarcoPolo - A gateway to no-cost, standards based Internet content for K-12 teachers. Topics currently include economics, geography, humanities, math and science. Mighty Media - Chat rooms for teachers to exchange ideas, as well as a nice list of educational resources and a Youth in Action section for students. Virtual Home of Alan Cairns - A wonderful collection of web resources on topics such as schools, computers, news, the arts, language, travel, and more. The Futures Channel - A site created to help educators connect learning to the real-world. It offers microdocumentary video, classroom activities, lesson plans, and other resources for engaging students in math, science, technology and arts instruction. World Lecture Hall - Links to pages created by faculty worldwide who are using the Web to deliver class materials. For example, you will find course syllabi, assignments, lecture notes, exams, and multimedia textbooks. This is really a college resource, but would be of interest to high school students as well. The EdWeb Project - An online K-12 education resource guide. Explore online educational resources around the world, learn about trends in education reform and the information highway, examine success stories of computers in the classroom, and much more. Global Schoolhouse Project - The Global Schoolhouse Project was a technology demonstration project designed to demonstrate the potential of high speed Internet connectivity in the public school classroom. Find A Tutor . org - FindaTutor.org is a non-profit organization and provides a free resource for students, tutors and educators. The FindaTutor.org project aims at connecting students with tutors over the Internet for free. LavaMind - Fun and entertaining educational games, which the entire family can play together. Good for teaching kids the basic concepts involved in math, business and economics. ThinkQuest - ThinkQuest is an annual contest whose purpose is to promote the Internet Style of Learning. It encoursages students to use the Internet as a collaborative tool and a growing source of information. The contest is open to students who are between 12 and 19. National Academy Press - Read over 1500 books online. The NAP publishes over 200 books a year on a wide range of topics in scinece, engineering and health capturing the most authoitative views on importan issues in science and health policy. Definitice information on everything from space science to animal nutrition. Yahooligans - A delightful collection of resources for kids, created and well- maintained by Yahoo. Science News for Kids - Our goal is to offer timely items of interest to kids, accompanied by suggestions for hands-on activities, books, articles, Web resources, and other useful materials.
